LexaLock Privacy Policy

Effective 15 August 2026

Summary

LexaLock is an offline-first language-learning app. The LexaLock developer does not operate an app backend, create user accounts, serve ads, use analytics SDKs, or collect or sell personal information.

Information stored on your device

LexaLock stores your selected languages, level, topic, app language, notification preference, daily free-lesson count, and a cached indication of whether Google Play reports an active Premium subscription. This information is used only to provide app functionality and remains in the app’s local storage.

You can delete this local information by clearing LexaLock’s storage or uninstalling the app. If Android device backup is enabled, Android may back up and restore app data under your Google account; the LexaLock developer does not receive or access that backup.

Google Play subscriptions

Premium purchases are processed by Google Play. LexaLock requests product, offer, purchase-state, and entitlement information from Google Play so it can display localized subscription terms, complete purchases, restore access, and acknowledge purchases. LexaLock does not receive your card or bank details and does not send purchase information to an app-owned server.

Google processes transaction information under the Google Privacy Policy.

Text-to-speech

When you request pronunciation, LexaLock passes the selected built-in phrase to the text-to-speech engine installed on your device. The handling of text by that engine is controlled by its provider and your device settings. LexaLock does not send the phrase to its own server.

Permissions

LexaLock uses notification and foreground-service access to display lessons, boot-completed access to restore a feature you enabled, and a wake lock while performing the user-requested background work. It does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, or advertising permissions.

Sharing, sale, and retention

The LexaLock developer does not collect, sell, or share user data. Locally stored settings remain until you clear app storage or uninstall, subject to Android’s optional device-backup behavior described above.

Children

LexaLock is a general-audience education utility. It does not request a user’s age or knowingly collect personal information from children.
